Poetry de la H
Um, yeah, I'll keep my poems here unless I think that for some reason they deserve a new thread. A lot of my poems are empty words though, not drawn from true experiences of my own. I mean, they aren't completely empty, but most of them are fiction I guess you could say, so don't read them as a way to see my innermost feelings, just my [dark] creativity.
Fear
Trapped
Well that's all. And as a special bonus I'll tell yous a secret! The guy in the second poem wasn't really trapped at all, he was having a nightmare while in comatose state and then he died and the death took him eerily and yet mercifully because he was in pain in real life too, anf so it was a relief to him, for the pain of his hands being torn up by the walls was a lot worse and over most of his body but was dulled in his unaware state. I'm not quite sure what happened to him but I'll try to think of something violent and exciting. ^^

Fear
Fear is so easily observed
The smell of it so strong
The way it lights up the eyes
Of those that fall victim
Victim to the opressive embrace
The mock-comfort that sings of death
Or if not of death than of destruction
Of eminant and impending hurt, pain, loss
It's like a sheet over a corpse
Only hiding what is there
As fear in its own way is merciful
It's not as bad a danger
Fear is stealthy
A silent destroyer
A premonition
Of what's to come
Fear is the warning bell
Fear is the shadow on the wall
And fear is the heart of pain
But not the cause
Fear is silence, peace
So easily shattered
Like sugar-glass,
Only not so sweet
But it is heavy, and dense
It crushes its host
It is suffocating and hot
And inevitable and inescapable
There is so much more to fear
Than there is to welcome
But fear is a luxory
Not everyone is given in time
Sometimes it comes too late
There is always a reason to be afraid
For at least then it is expected
If you find yourself at the end
Trapped
Bloody, broken hands
Claw at the walls, shredding the skin
Ripping off the fingernails
And he knows there is no escape
He cries out in anguish, in despair
His eyes search fantically for help
Collapse is followed by trying again
And he knows there is no escape
A single flame lights the breathing hell
Sweltering heat surrounded by frozen air
There's no-one there to hear his cries
And he knows there is no escape
The silence settles in again
But still he scratches at the walls
Blood drips from his fingers
And he knows there is no escape
How long has it been?
Hours melt into days so easily
But maybe it's been longer?
And he knows there is no escape
Once he tried to keep track of time
But that is a distant memory
The solitude blurs the edges of time
And he knows there is no escape
His strength has been failing
And he knows time is running out
He is starting to die
And he knows there is no escape
If only the blackness would close in
He's seen it at the borders for days now,
Although it could ahve been longer
And he knows there is no escape
Each time he take takes notices
It's upon him more, a silent messenger
And what does it tell him?
That he knows there is no escape?
No! That death is coming
He can smell it on himself
And at last he realizes
He knows that there is no escape
He is surrounded with heat and ice at once
All covered in black as tangible as velvet
And any noise there was subsides
And he knows there is no escape
